WISE REPUBLICAN WOMEN joint meeting with the
WISE COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY

Wise Republican WomanÕs President, Darla Bailey, called to order the regular combined meeting of the Wise Republican Women and the Wise County Republican Party to order at 6:30 PM., at the Precinct #2 Courtroom in the Wise County SheriffÕs Office Complex.
The invocation was given by D. A. Sharpe. The Pledges of Allegiance to the United States flag and the Texas State flag were recited by the audience.
WRW President Darla Bailey invited the elected officials, candidates to introduce themselves.
Motion was made, seconded and passed that the Minutes of the previous Joint meeting of the WRW-WCRP of February 8, were approved.
Eric Marney, WCRP Chair-elect conducted the remainder of the meeting.
WRW TreasurerÕs Report, including the final results of the Red Gala, will be reported at our next meeting, May, 12.
Chairman-elect Marney reported about $12,300 in the Party account, all of which will go to pay the clerks and judges who worked in the March 6th Party Primary Election. The source of these funds are the fees that candidates pay when filing to run for office. In the ChairmanÕs account, there was $4,200. There were no income or expenses needed to be approved.
There will be runoff elections on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Early voting will be Monday, May 15 through Friday May 25. There are three runoffs for Wise County offices. Precinct #2 Justice of the Peace runoff is between incumbent Callie Watts-Manning and challenger Kim Redman. Precinct #3 Constable runoff is between Charles Applewhite and Terry N. Terry for that vacant office. Precinct #4 Justice of the Peace runoff is between Todd Bailey and Willie Garrett for that open office.
There will be no meeting of the WRW/WCRP in April.
The Monday May 14 regular joint meeting of the WRW/WCRP will be rescheduled earlier to Saturday, May 12. It will be in the form of an appreciation social gathering honoring retiring WCRP Chair Allen Williamson, concluding 10 years of service in that office. It will be hosted at the home of Precinct #2 Wise County Commissioner Kevin Burns and his wife, Gina. The state-wide election returns are available on the Secretary of StateÕs website. Wise County election returns are available on the Wise County Election AdministratorÕs website.
The next meeting of the WRW-WCRP is now scheduled to be jointly held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the home of Kevin & Gina Burns, 1247 CR 3170, Decatur, TX 76234-5047 at 6:00 PM.
